Help the business world to redeem itself

Industry, business, and finance (especially the bigger varities of these) have come near to destroying our world.

They can reform by abandoning the "profit first" principle.

"A business must make profits to exist, yes, like we have to breathe to live; but it would be insanity to claim that the purpose of life is to breathe."

Why is it OK to say that the purpose of being in business is to make profits? ZaadzLanders may not say this but the law of the land says that the first and foremost duty of a business is to maximise return to shareholders.
